We do not collect your customers' data
Sell Smart Price Optimization does not read, collect, store, or share any of your customers' personal data — no names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, IP addresses, or any other personally identifiable information.
During installation, Shopify shows that the app requests access to "View customer data" — described as device and activity data such as geolocation, IP address, browser, and operating system. This permission is bundled into the access Shopify grants us for past order data, and is not something we can decline separately. We do not use, collect, or store any of this data. The app uses only aggregated sales figures — quantities, prices, discounts, taxes, and dates — to estimate demand and generate pricing recommendations.

4. How pricing recommendations are generated
Pricing recommendations are generated by our own statistical (econometric) models, which estimate price elasticity from your store's historical sales and pricing data. This analysis runs entirely on our servers. We do not send your product data, sales data, or customer personal information to third-party AI services.
5. Data storage and security
We store your data securely on our servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Your data is stored for as long as your store is connected to our service. When you uninstall the app, we will delete your data in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable data protection laws.
6. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — third parties who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting and infrastructure providers

Our webhook handlers are designed to process customer data requests (if applicable), shop data redaction requests, and customer data redaction requests (if applicable).
We will process these requests in accordance with GDPR requirements and Shopify's data protection guidelines.
9. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our service and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. When you uninstall the app, we will initiate the deletion of your data. Deletion is typically completed within 30 days of uninstallation, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Our service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

12. Shopify's role
This app is a third-party service that integrates with Shopify. Your use of Shopify is also governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We are not responsible for Shopify's data practices.
